Bio
I am currently 26 years of age. I have a sometimes nervous, but friendly disposition, and I cannot deny that I'm somewhat of a geek and a nerd. Ok, maybe a little more than somewhat. I was born in Atlanta, at the age of two moved to Baton Rouge, LA, then when I was eleven we moved back to northern Georgia and I've hopped around metro Atlanta ever since. I have an English degree, je peut parle un peu de français, I have enough books to open my own library, and I tend to lurk and occasionally participate in various subcultures, including but not limited to:

Furry - I do participate some in the furry community. I have some furry friends, I attend conventions, I tend to think of myself as an animal in some mental and/or spiritual sense, and I've always been fascinated with the blurring of the lines between human and animal. I do have some differing perceptions from most furries, including my preference for realistic animals or anthropomorphic animals with some human characteristics instead of toony "humans in animal suits." My perception of what species I am has changed numerous times over the course of time, but wolf has remained fairly constant, and I also see myself as rather bat-like in many respects. As such, I may appear as either species online or at furry events.

Goth - While I listen to a variety of music, this genre of music tends to be one of my favorites. This, combined with my love of horror, clothing of a darker shade, piercings (of which I have several), and tattoos (of which I have none -- yet), have encouraged me to participate in some related local and online communities.

Sci-fi/fantasy/horror - While I'm not a trekkie and I can't speak to you in Tolkien elvish, my dad did raise me on the original star trek, I saw Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal so often from age three onward that I can practically quote the scripts from memory, and I've read more scifi and fantasy books than I can poke a stick at. Don't even get me started on those late childhood nights of sneaking into the living room to watch Tales from the Crypt when I was supposed to be in bed.

Paganism - A broad term to be sure, but the best I know of to refer to my spiritual beliefs and practices. I'm interested in both Norse and Celtic traditions, but I am primarily solitary. A combination of not finding any compatible local groups, my tendency to avoid being social on a regular basis, and the fact that I'd prefer to keep my spiritual activities to a maximum of myself and a few close and trusted friends tends to keep me on my own.

Gaming - We had an Atari before I could walk, a Commodore 128 when I was three, a nintendo when I was six, and it's only gone further downhill from there. DnD captured my interest when I was in middle school, but I didn't have the opportunity to play until college. I've also dabbled in Larping, mucks, and other forms of role-play. Computer games, table top, or clubbing people with foam in the woods, it's fun.

Want to know more? Read my journal or ask me. Much of my journal is friends-only, but I will add most people who share similar interests and/or appear to have more than half a brain.
